In order to solve the problem of increasing the distance to 8 km for local control and offline tracking of Scorpio, we are currently testing the use of a group of mobile repeaters, which will be in the cassette on a drone.
In motion, after a certain distance of 300-1000 m, the unmanned aerial vehicle-stacker automatically “lays” one of the repeaters on the ground from the cartridge. Now this device knows its exact coordinate, being at the same time a verification point for other drones, and besides it will be able to exchange data between the dispatcher and drones.
Thus, the unmanned installation “weaves a web” as it progresses and builds a network, such as SmartMesh.
The mobile repeater is equipped with wireless charging, and while in motion on a drone in the cassette it can be recharged. In operating mode, the solar panel is an additional source of energy for the repeater. The device is equipped with a telescopic mast, at the end of which is the repeater module itself, with low energy consumption. Additionally, for accurate positioning, the device can be equipped with a class sensor RTLS (Real-time Locating Systems – real-time positioning system) using technology with an ultra-wide bandwidth Ultra-Wide Band (UWB).
